Cancelling on NOL World: Who Ends a Booking, and When

A NOL World booking can be ended by the buyer, by an unpaid clock, or by NOL World itself, and this guide covers who ends it and on whose clock

What this page answers

  • How late can I cancel a performance ticket? The FAQ gives 5pm KST the day before for weekdays and holidays, 11am KST the day before for Saturday, without saying whether Saturday describes the performance or the cut-off day. The clocks
  • Can a booking end without me clicking cancel? Yes. A waitlist notification left unpaid for six hours is cancelled and refunded automatically, and NOL World itself can cancel where it cannot supply the ticket. Who ends a booking
  • Which cancellation fee binds me? The product’s own, where it has one. Article 12’s default scale applies only where the Use Policy or the product’s guide or terms say nothing, and by that scale cancelling by 11:59 PM on the reservation date costs nothing. Where the fee lives
  • The Cancel Reservation button is not on my booking. What now? The FAQ routes that case to customer support. Its Contact us notice sets support hours at 09:00-18:00 KST and puts an email reply at approximately 1 to 3 business days. Where the fee lives
  • How long until the refund lands? The documents disagree: the FAQ says about 5 to 7 days, the Use Policy five to seven business days, and Article 12 four to six for a card refund issued by the card company. How the money comes back
  • Can cancelling too often get my account restricted? Three documents say it can, and the widest of them, Article 19 of the Terms of Service, attaches no quantity and no purpose to “repeatedly canceling after purchasing Products”. The sanctions run from a three-month booking ban to permanent suspension. Cancelling to change something

Cancelling a NOL World booking is less one action than a set of clocks, one of which starts the moment you pay. This page covers who can end a booking, by when, and which number binds you.

Who ends a booking, and on whose clock

How a booking ends before the show in the documents this page opened - you cancelling through My Reservations before the deadline, an unpaid booking ending automatically when a waitlist notice goes unpaid after six hours and, by the Use Policy, a reservation that may be cancelled where payment is not made in the period set, and NOL World cancelling when it cannot supply the ticket and notifies you within one day of the booking date, or an obvious pricing error occurred

In the documents this page opened – the FAQ, the Cancellation / Usage Policy, the Use Policy and the Terms of Service – a booking ends in three ways.

You cancel, via My Reservations → Ticket Reservation List → Cancel Reservation.

An unpaid booking ends. A waitlist notification left unpaid for six hours is cancelled and refunded automatically. The Use Policy puts the general case more loosely: a reservation *may* be cancelled where payment is not made in time.

NOL World cancels. Where it cannot supply the ticket, Use Policy Article 6(3) lets it notify you within one day of the date you reserved and cancel with a refund. Article 6(4) covers obvious errors in price, seat, ticket type, benefits or opening time that a buyer knew or should have known. Article 10 of the Terms of Service lets it cancel on its own initiative where a seller’s circumstances or force majeure make normal use impossible. Where it judges a case fraudulent, the sanctions reach cancelling every ticket held.

The clocks

Table headed cancelling a ticket is free until 23:59 on the day you booked, showing that free window on tickets and then 17:00 KST the day before for weekdays and holidays, 11:00 KST the day before for Saturday, processing between 10:00 and 18:00 KST on Korean weekdays under the Cancellation and Usage Policy, card refunds in about 5 to 7 business days under the Cancellation / Usage Policy, which says the time may vary by card issuer and about 4 to 6 business days under the Terms of Service, and reservation changes requested at least 7 days before the usage date, which may still not be possible

The weekday split is worth reading twice. The FAQ gives it as “5pm (KST) of the day before the show for weekdays and holidays, 11am (KST) of the day before the show for Saturday” without saying whether Saturday describes the performance or the cut-off day. Article 12 sets a related cut-off on the same clock: a reservation *made* after “5 p.m. (11 a.m. on Saturdays) a day before the performance date” cannot be cancelled. Take the earlier hour and confirm on your product page.

Three timings deserve a second look. One is not a deadline: the Cancellation / Usage Policy — which describes a provider-approved flow rather than the FAQ’s self-service ticket cancellation — puts requests inside Korean business hours, 10:00-18:00 KST. By that policy, anything sent outside it, at a weekend or on a Korean holiday, counts as received on the next business day.

The deadlines are not fixed either. The Use Policy says they vary by product and change with the host or venue, the new one posted on the product page.

Reservation changes are a separate track: customer service, seven days or more before the usage date. The policy adds that a change may still not be possible, depending on the product, the timing and the Provider’s rules.

Where your cancellation fee lives

The NOL World reservation details redrawn, with a Cancellation Details block labelled Cancellation Deadline, Cancellation Fee and Refund Amount, a cancellation fee governed by the product's own rate or Article 12's, no fee until 11:59 PM on the booking day, partial cancellation that depends on the show, exchange-rate movement and an international fee that can still apply on a card issued outside Korea, and a separate Tour and Activity track where up to 100 percent may apply even on the same day
Redrawn from the operator’s English FAQ, cancellation policy and published English interface strings – checked 2026-08-21

Article 12 of the Terms of Service sets a default scale, limited by its own first paragraph: it applies only where the Use Policy, the product’s guide or its terms say nothing. The FAQ says fees vary by product, so where the product page speaks it wins.

When you cancelFee
By 11:59 PM on the reservation dateNone
10 or more days before the eventKRW 8,000 musicals/concerts, KRW 2,000 classical, plays, sports — max 10%; none if within 7 days of booking
9 to 7 days before10% of the ticket price
6 to 3 days before20% of the ticket price
2 to 1 days before30% of the ticket price
On the day of the event90%, where same-day cancellation is allowed
The default scale in Article 12, where nothing else applies

The seven-day exemption sits inside the ten-days-or-more tier. A booking made three days before the event and cancelled next morning falls in the two-to-one-day row at 30%, not the seven-day exemption. Article 12 says the reservation fee is not refunded regardless of the cancellation; the English interface text NOL World ships, read on 2026-08-21, calls it the service fee and carves out the day of purchase. That service fee is a separate charge from the row above, even where both read KRW 8,000. The FAQ prices that service fee at 8,000 won for musicals and concerts — excluding some products such as online concerts and fan club memberships — and says it varies by product. Your own cancellation rate is on the product detail page before buying, and in the reservation details after buying.

For a ticket, the fee and the refund amount are in the reservation details, under a Cancellation Details block labelled Cancellation Deadline, Cancellation Fee and Refund Amount (English interface text, read 2026-08-21).

If the button is not on the detail page at all, the FAQ routes you to customer support, who confirm eligibility, fees and refund amount with the supplier first.

NOL World’s Contact us notice sets support hours at 09:00-18:00 KST, excluding weekends and Korean public holidays. It says inquiries are handled in the order they arrive, and puts an email reply at approximately 1 to 3 business days; the one-to-one inquiry screen says an average of 2.

What reviewers say about that reply time

  • Nine NOL World app reviewers between 2026-03 and 2026-07, on the Japanese, US, Thai and Taiwanese storefronts, describe waiting longer: three contacts to the inquiry desk across more than three days with no reply, a payment confirmation email that arrived without a ticket and drew nothing back, and one case they say ran two months on canned replies.
  • We have not opened a case. These are App Store reviews, with dates, set against the reply time NOL World publishes.

The deadline keeps running while an inquiry waits its turn.

What cannot be cancelled

  • A ticket that has been lost or damaged cannot be cancelled, changed or reissued. The Use Policy rules it out in one clause.
  • Anything past the deadline. The Cancellation Policy says cancellations are not accepted after the specified period, and some products are not eligible after purchase at all.
  • Partial cancellation is not universal. NOL World asks you to check it when booking, not afterwards.

How the money comes back

Refunds go to the original payment method, and the timing turns on whether the transaction reached your card company. If not, the request completes at once. If it has, the documents disagree, and one of them narrows the case. The FAQ says about 5 to 7 days. The Use Policy says the time may vary by payment method and generally takes five to seven business days. The Cancellation / Usage Policy gives about the same range for cards, adding that it may vary by card issuer. Article 12 says four to six, but only for a credit or debit card refund issued by the card company.

The FAQ names two costs that survive the cancellation if the card was issued outside Korea. The exchange rate on the cancellation date may differ from the booking date, producing a gain or a loss on what comes back. An international transaction fee can still apply to a cancelled transaction. The FAQ points to the card issuer for exact figures.

Cancelling as a way to change something

A seat change and a coupon are cancellations. A seat cannot be changed once the reservation completes, and a coupon cannot be applied after payment. For each the route is to cancel and rebook, which NOL World says may incur fees under the event’s own fee policy — and the queue starts again.

Three documents make repeated cancelling a ground for restriction, and they are not drawn the same way. The Use Policy reaches a user who repeatedly makes “(large-quantity)” reservations and cancels them later. The FAQ lists “repeated cancellations for the purpose of fraudulent trading or ranking manipulation” as fraudulent use. Article 19 of the Terms of Service is the widest: it bars acts “presumed to be abusing the act of purchasing (e.g., repeatedly canceling after purchasing Products, etc.)”, with no quantity and no purpose attached. The sanctions run from a booking ban of three months or more to permanent suspension and cancellation of every ticket held, with at least one day given to explain. None of those three clauses describes a single change of mind.

Where do I find the exact deadline for my booking?

On the product page or in your reservation details. The Use Policy says deadlines vary by product and change with the host or venue.

Do I get the service fee back?

Only on the day you booked. Article 12 says the reservation fee is not refunded regardless of the cancellation, and the English interface text NOL World ships calls it the service fee and refunds it only on the day of purchase.

Can I change my seat instead of cancelling?

No. A seat cannot be changed once the reservation completes, so the route is to cancel and rebook – which may incur fees under the event’s own fee policy, and puts you back in the queue.
