NOL World Cancellation Fee Calculator

The NOL World Article 12 default cancellation scale, which applies only where the product's own terms say nothing, charges a flat KRW 8,000 on musicals and concerts cancelled 10 or more days before the event, capped at 10% of the purchase price and waived where that cancellation also falls within 7 days of the reservation. What this calculator does

  • Applies the default cancellation scale written into Article 12 of NOL World’s Terms of Service to a ticket price you enter.
  • Article 12 applies only where nothing else does. Where the product page, the product guide or the Use Policy states a rate, that rate replaces this one, and the FAQ says fees vary by product.
  • Article 12 puts a zero in two places: a cancellation by 11:59 PM on the reservation date, and one 10 or more days before the event that is also within 7 days of the reservation. A product with its own policy is a separate question.
  • It works on the ticket price alone. Article 12 says the reservation fee (the Service Fee on your reservation details) is never refunded, but the English interface text NOL World ships (read 2026-08-21) labels it the service fee and states it is refundable on the day of purchase.

Where the scale comes from, and when it does not apply

Article 12 opens by limiting itself. Its first paragraph says the policy and the fees in that article apply only where the matter is not set out separately in the Use Policy, in the guide or introduction page for an individual product, or in that product’s terms of use — and where it is set out there, those terms apply instead.

The FAQ says the same from the other side: fees vary by product, and the rate that applies is the one on the product detail page before buying, or in the reservation details after.

Two limits from elsewhere in the same documents are worth carrying alongside the result. The Use Policy says cancellation deadlines vary by product and can change when the host or the venue changes them. And Article 12 sets a separate cut-off on the booking side: a reservation *made* after 5 p.m., or 11 a.m. on Saturdays, on the day before the performance is not eligible for cancellation or refund at all.

Those are two different rules. Article 12’s cut-off is about when the booking was *made*; the FAQ’s deadline, 5pm KST the day before the show and 11am KST the day before for a Saturday show, is about when the cancellation is *made*.

What goes into the calculation

  • Ticket price — the purchase price of the tickets being cancelled. Article 12’s flat charge is capped against this figure, and the percentage bands are taken from it.
  • Product type — Article 12 splits the flat charge between musicals and concerts on one side and classical concerts, plays and sports events on the other.
  • When the cancellation happens — the article’s own bands, plus its two exemptions. The reservation date and the event date are different clocks, and the seven-day exemption runs on the first while every band runs on the second.

The first two rows carry the exemptions, and they read differently. Article 12 states the 11:59 PM rule without reference to the event date: a cancellation made on the reservation date carries no fee. The seven-day rule is narrower: it only reaches a cancellation that is both within seven days of the reservation and at least ten days before the event. A booking made three days before the event and cancelled the next morning is in the 30% row, not in the seven-day exemption.

The flat charge in the second row has a ceiling written next to it: it cannot exceed 10% of the purchase price. That ceiling only bites on cheap tickets. On a KRW 150,000 concert ticket the flat KRW 8,000 stands, because 10% is KRW 15,000; on a KRW 50,000 ticket the ceiling holds the charge at KRW 5,000.

The last row carries a condition rather than a number. The 90% applies only to products that allow cancellation on the day of the event, and where a product does not, the question is not the fee but whether cancellation is possible at all.

Reading the result

The calculator returns four lines. The flat charge appears only in the ten-days-or-more case, already capped at 10% of the price; the percentage line appears only in the bands that carry one. The total is what Article 12 would charge, and the last line subtracts it from the ticket price.

What is left of the ticket price is not what lands in your account — the reservation fee (the Service Fee on your reservation details) and a foreign card’s own charges sit outside this calculation, and are itemised below.

One figure is easy to misread. The KRW 8,000 this page charges 10 or more days out is Article 12’s cancellation charge. The FAQ separately lists a KRW 8,000 service fee for musicals and concerts, excluding some products such as online concerts and fan club memberships — a different charge on the same booking that happens to carry the same number.

What this calculator does not reflect

It models Article 12 and nothing else, so it is wrong for any product that publishes its own rate — and Article 12(1) means that product’s own detail page governs.

It works on the ticket price only. The reservation fee is excluded because the two documents disagree about the day of purchase and the FAQ says the amount varies by product — a calculator has to return one number, and neither document settles which. That is not the last word: the English interface text NOL World ships, read 2026-08-21, labels it the service fee and says it is refundable on the day of purchase, so a same-day cancellation may return more than this page shows. Nor is any of the following included: the exchange-rate difference between the booking date and the cancellation date on a card issued outside Korea, the international transaction fee that can still apply to a cancelled transaction, partial cancellation where a show allows it, or a cancellation charged in full by the product’s own terms.

It says nothing about timing, and two clocks sit outside it. The FAQ sets a cancellation deadline for performance tickets — 5pm KST the day before the show for weekdays and holidays, 11am KST the day before for Saturday — so the last two bands here may already be past it. And the money comes back on its own clock, which Article 12 states for one payment method only: a credit or debit card refund is issued by the card company approximately four to six business days after the payment cancellation is approved, and the same paragraph adds that refunds follow any specific instructions given in announcements, on the product page, or during the cancellation and refund process. The Use Policy is broader and slower — it says the time may vary by payment method and generally takes five to seven business days. The Cancellation / Usage Policy, which describes a provider-approved reservation flow rather than the FAQ’s self-service ticket cancellation, adds Korean business hours of 10:00-18:00 for requests.

Frequently asked questions

My product page shows a different cancellation fee. Which one is right?

The product page. Article 12(1) states that its own scale applies only where the Use Policy, the product guide or the product’s terms say nothing, and the FAQ says fees vary by product.

Does the seven-day exemption mean I always get a week to change my mind?

No. It applies only to a cancellation that is both within seven days of the reservation and at least ten days before the event. A booking made close to the event does not reach it.

Is the reservation fee refunded if the fee here comes out as zero?

Article 12 says it is not refunded regardless of the cancellation, which is why it sits outside this calculation. The English interface text NOL World ships for the reservation details, read 2026-08-21, is narrower: it labels the reservation fee the service fee and says it is refundable on the day of purchase, not after. On the day you booked, the two documents disagree.
