tics.guide (“this site”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information this site handles and how. Effective August 15, 2026. It replaces the version effective August 8, 2026, which described this site as carrying no advertising or analytics tools.
What this site does not collect
This site has no sign-up, no login and no payment function. It therefore does not ask for or store information that identifies you — name, contact details, address or payment details. Comments are not enabled.
Information recorded automatically
Running a website leaves access records on the web server. These include the IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the address requested, the referring page and the time of access. These records are used only to operate the server, respond to faults and block abnormal access, and are held on the hosting provider’s servers.
The analytics and advertising tools described below use technologies beyond cookies, such as web beacons (transparent pixels), device identifiers and advertising identifiers. These do not collect your name or contact details; they handle non-identifying information at the browser or device level.
Cookies
This site uses caching to serve pages quickly, and cookies that do not identify you may be used in that process. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart, and Google may set or read advertising cookies through the AdSense code described below. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, though some functions may not work correctly if you do.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how its pages are used. Google’s tag is loaded from Google’s servers on every page. It records the pages you view, the referring page, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. It does not record your name or contact details. Visits by signed-in site administrators are excluded from measurement.
Advertising
The Google AdSense code is installed on this site. Advertisements are not being displayed yet — the site is still under review by Google — but the AdSense script is loaded from Google’s servers on every page, and Google may set or read cookies through it. The following applies to advertising on this site:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or to other sites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of other third-party vendors’ personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- How Google uses data on partner sites and apps is described at Google’s partner-site data notice.
- Personalised advertising will not be served to users in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland until consent for cookie use and data processing is obtained through a Google-certified consent management platform. No such platform is in place on this site at present, and no advertising of any kind is being displayed.
This document will be updated and its effective date restated when advertisements begin to be displayed, and again if a consent management platform is added.
